I am so sorry to hear about your family's loss. I haven't been in Burbank for a long time but your mother meant a lot to me growing up.

I just heard of Barbara,s passing from a friend that also knew her..My deepest sympathy to all of her family. I worked with Barbara & we became friends in the 80,s & 90,s. She was one of the kindest & most giving people I have ever known. Always doing for the community & family & friends. I hadn't seen her in years but thought of her often. May she rest in peace with God.

I am so very saddened to learn of the passing of a dear child of JoAnn and Dick Sykes. Barbara has been called all too soon and her passing leaves a great void in the heart of her dear mother. My prayers for Barbara and her family are with each of you. Fondly and with much love, Marian Viole'

I worked with Barbara on many occasions at the Condor Squadron. When I was a new member at the squadron she always made me feel welcome.

Never to be forgotten!

So sorry to read of Barbara's passing. I knew her when she was a child being a friend of her older brother. But her spirit was obvious even then and I'm not surprised with how she lived her life to the fullest and making such a big difference in so many places and with the many people she touched. I extend my sincerest sympathies to all her family and many friends and will keep you all in my prayers. Stephen Salamunovich

In the 50 years I knew Barbara, I can't remember her ever thinking of herself or her needs before the needs of others. She taught us all, through her kindness and caring, what it means to be a humanitarian. She leaves behind a trail of broken hearts, but she lives on in everyone she ever touched. She will be deeply missed.
