Barb has been a wonderful influence in my life. Not only as one of the best teachers I had, but as an extended family member. Every Christmas she was always so excited when we got to see each other and always made me feel special when I would come home for the holiday. Her and Bob always made me laugh. They made me welcome in their home and provided me a place to stay so I could be in Groton with everyone else. I learned a lot from Barb - much more than Shakespeare (sorry Barb, but I still don't get it!!) and high school English. She made me feel like one of her own granddaughters! I am happy that I got to spend time with her very recently, and will always have very fond memories of both her and Bob. I know that I will have some stories to share and pass on to Halle. I am thinking of both of them and all of their children and grandchildren. Do you think the "New Deal" will be open when we all join them up there?
