Barbara Ann Wuycheck

Barbara Ann Pesci Wuycheck passed away quietly on Friday, October 21, 2022. She was born on September 3, 1942 in Freeport, PA to Anna and Elmo Pesci. At 15 she met the love of her life, John. They were married at 19 and spent 49 happy years together. She was devastated when he proceeded her in death in 2010. Barbara and John spent their marriage playing golf, traveling and raising their children.

Barbara was a wonderful wife and mother, dedicated to caring for the needs and comforts of her family. She took her job as a homemaker seriously and often said "volunteering starts in the home". Her skills of cooking, baking and sewing were much to be admired with coveted holiday cookie trays and halloween costumes for her grandchildren.

Barbara missed John so much but found tremendous joy with her children and grandchildren. She was extremely supportive of her family, often with small bits of advice that were not only helpful at the time but stayed with you throughout life.

We learned many lessons from "G-Ma". Mostly, if the lunchmeat is sticky, throw it out. If something needs to be done "just do it" (this was before Nike) If the kids rooms are messy, "they won't be forever" and if someone needs a food basket, make it.

She taught us to have the faith to trust in Jesus and pray the rosary.

Barbara is survived by her children Lori (Bo) and John (Anne) and her grandchildren, Ben (Gwennie), Emma, Michaela, Murphy and Maggie as well as siblings, Peg, Dick and Kathy.

The family would like to thank all those who helped care for our wonderful mom and grandma the last number of years.

Please join the family in a celebration of Barbara's life with a visitation and rosary this Thursday, October 27 from 5-7pm at Messenger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary, 8555 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, and a funeral Mass on Friday, October 28 at 10am at Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church, 36811 N Pima Rd. Reception to follow at the Wuycheck home.
