I remember Baroukh with great fondness. He training in Gastroenterology in Boston during the years that I was also "learning the ropes" in GI at BCH. He was the only Jewish Egyptian that I had ever met (still is), his descriptions of Alexandria were very interesting. Just from those few years on knowing Borough, it's not hard to imagine how great he must have been as a GI doc and practicing medicine in general. Such a long and productive life. Best wishes to his family.

Saddened to hear that Dr Kodsi had recently died. I remember him well from our time at Boston City Hospital in the 1960s. It is no surprise that he was a mentor to aspiring young GI docs. Highly respected and admired by all who were fortunate to know him!

A huge loss for the international medical and scientific community. My family and I were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Dr. Kodsi. He had an incredibly positive and uplifting personality that I felt inspired by. He was so generous and kind, so passionate about his work, so dedicated to his patients, a doctor for whom his profession was his calling. I feel very lucky that I have had the chance to meet him and I will forever treasure his memory.

In 2019, the Alexandrion Foundation awarded Dr. Kodsi for his exceptional career as a doctor and researcher at the Constantin Brancoveanu International Awards Gala, in New York.

May his soul rest in peace and may his family find the strength to overcome these challenging moments.

I met Dr. Kodsi as a patient 55 years ago. His compassion and concern were unmatched as he helped me through Crohn's and enabled us to grow our family. A fine, modest and accomplished man. Rest in peace, dear doctor.

As a medical student I met Dr. Kodsi when I took my mother to him for a consultation. His humanity and medical skills shone and inspired me to think outside- the- box. He helped her greatly, and I am forever grateful.
