March 30, 2017
I found out about Barry's sad passing after Christmas 2016 and since I have only now discovered the MKCITIZEN Memories & Condolences internet page (30 March 2017), I felt I had to add something. I had known Barry for over 50 years, but more recently I had seen him only rarely. The last time was when my wife and I were invited to his and Nicky's Ruby Wedding Anniversary bash in Milton Keynes.
Barry and I first met in Wallasey all those years ago and spent much time together, socialising, pitch and putting, coffee bar-ing and the like - even holidaying together on the Norfolk Broads. Barry's dad took us and brought us back, in his car. (We didn't have cars back then.) That holiday was fun!
Sheila, who left a message a year ago, may well be the Sheila I remember from among the many friends, including Nicky, who made up the social group we all belonged to in the 1960s, when we were in our late teens and early twenties.
I remember Barry as being a lovely, kindly and gentle man who would always do all he could to smooth the road to his friends' and family's happiness in life. I am honoured to have been among those many many friends. Rest in Peace my friend. You are, and will always be, in my thoughts. Bob B
