Thought I would google one of my favourite teachers and happened upon this thread. Sad to hear but glad I can write and read these comments. RIP Mr Griffith's... P.S. Did anyone ever have the WIIFM (What's in it for me) lesson? it was one that stuck with me to this day.

I stumbled upon this news as I was thinking of the impact Mr Griffiths had upon me as a child. Sad to hear this humble man has passed. As he once wrote on my school report "Look to the sun and your shadows will fall behind you". Sending love and condolences to the Griffiths family.

A great neighbour and Gentleman and excellent past head teacher at Te Pahu School.Loved his rugby. Barry's influence on our childrens education was much appreciated by them.
