Barry STEINER

STEINER, Barry passed Sept. 13, 2021. Born September 27, 1943 to a family of engineers in New York City, Barry received his undergraduate degree from Boston University and pursued his PhD at Harvard University. Forever a scholar, he had a long career in radio and technology, which began in Philadelphia, PA and brought him to Florida. An excellent cook and extensive traveler, Barry played in a bluegrass band at Woodstock and met Albert Einstein as a boy in New York City. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara; and daughters, Amy Dann-heim (Mike) and Allie Turina (Damir); and with his beloved grandchildren, Charlie and Ty Dannheim. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Barry's honor to WUSF 89.7 Radio .
