Funeral services for Bart D. Reeves, 55, of Wylie and formerly of Sacul will be Tuesday, May 24 at 2 p.m. at the Dickie Allen Funeral Home in Cushing with Bro. Willie Wade officiating. Burial will be at the McKnight Cemetery. Mr. Reeves died Saturday in McKinney, Texas. He was born December 11, 1955, in Jacksonville, Texas to James Bryant and Dovelene Wade Reeves. Mr. Reeves lived in Dallas most of his life and in Wylie for the last 24 years. He was a Baptist. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and harmonica player. He worked as an independent courier, in the grocery business and most recently, in the hunting department at Bass Pro Shop. He was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veteran’s. Bart was preceded in death by his father, J.B. Reeves and brother, Steve Reeves.Survivors include: Wife of 30 years, Kathi Parker Reeves of Wylie, Texas; sons, Josh Reeves of Wylie, Texas, Jake Reeves of Wylie, Texas; daughter, Jamie Reeves of Wylie, Texas; mother, Dovelene Wade Reeves of Sacul, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Bryant and Cheri Reeves of Rusk, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Robert Holmes of Nacogdoches; grandchild, McKenzi Reeves of Wylie, Tx; and several nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Joshua Dryden, Robby Holmes, Chad Reeves, Brett Reeves, Milton Wade & Jake Matlock. Honorary pallbearers will be John Moschioni, Kenney Dryden, Garland Matlock, Steve Schockley, Jim Billingsley & Jimmy D. Billingsley.
