BEATRICE QUIROZ PADILLA
She retired as a nurse's aide after 25 years of service at Citizens Medical Center. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. On Nov. 27, 1952, she married the love of her life, Raymond Padilla. They had 3 children, Raymond Jr., Anna and Rudy. She loved having her family over and cooking for them. She enjoyed taking the grandchildren out shopping and then going to Bianchi's Drug Store for treats.
She is survived by her daughter, Anna Marie Oritz and her husband Jerry; sons, Raymond Padilla Jr. and his wife Katie, Rudy Padilla and his wife Eva; brother, Rudolfo C. Quiroz; grandchildren, Jerry Ortiz Jr. and his wife Taneel, Lisa Marie Valdivia and her husband Jaime, Greg Garza and his wife Vera, Jennifer Smajstrla and her husband Kody, Marcus Padilla and his wife Elise, Noe Perez and his wife Judy, Crystal Ortiz and her husband Aaron, Steven Padilla, Rudy Lee Padilla; and 5 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Padilla; brother, Miguel C. Quiroz; and grandson, Keith Matthew Padilla.
Visitation will be held 5 - 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at Grace Funeral Home. The rosary will follow at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, with Father Stan DeBoe officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Raymond Padilla, Jr., Rudy Michael Padilla, Anthony Quiroz, Miguel Quiroz, Jerry Ortiz, Jr., Rudy Lee Padilla, and Marcus Padilla.
The family would like to thank the personnel at Twin Pines Nursing Home, the Annex, and the B Wing, as well as Hospice of South Texas for the loving care they gave to her.
Grace Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
