Becca McClure Bowen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 7, 2024.
Becca Ann McClure Bowen, born February 7, 1947, in Fort Worth, passed away on May 26, 2024, in Dallas after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved daughter of Jack and Alma McClure.

Becca had a lifelong passion for art and fashion. After college, she initially worked in the corporate world before returning to her true love-fashion. She opened an accessories showroom in the Dallas Apparel Mart, which she ran successfully for many years. Becca was a mentor to many and a friend to even more, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.

After retiring, Becca moved to Hawaii, where she developed deep friendships and strengthened her connection to Judaism. She later returned to Dallas and came out of retirement to once again pursue her passion for sales and connecting with people through art and fashion.

Becca will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her devoted sister, Deborah Jones, brother in-law Howard Isaacson and her cherished niece, Cory Jones.

A memorial service will be held at Temple Emanu-El in Dallas, on Sunday July 14th at 1:00pm.

I just learned about Becca´s passing a few weeks ago. The last time we were in touch was January this year when she was in the hospital. My deepest sympathy to her family.
Becca was such a bright light! We met in Hawaii through her friend Les and spent some great times together. She was a force of nature...always smiling, always ready for the next adventure. She moved fast and talked even faster. I told her to slow down, cause she was in Hawaii now. I never did get her to slow down for very long. She helped me to look at the bright side of life. Thank you Becca. You will be missed by many.

Becca was a great mentor for me when I was buying accessories for A Pea in the Pod. We continued to stay in touch for many years. I had not seen Becca since around 2021. I am sorry to hear of your loss.
