Ben DiMARIA Obituary
A local Manotick musician, guitarist, singer and songwriter, passed away tragically, as a result of a car accident on Thursday April 5th, 2012 at the age of 37. Beloved son of Luigi and Cheryl Ann DiMaria. Cherished brother of David; he also leaves behind 2/3 of T.O.C. Stew and Chris. His memory will forever live on, in the hearts of his family, friends and fellow musicians. Family and friends may pay their respects at Capital Memorial Chapel (3700 Prince of Wales Dr.) on Monday April 9th from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be celebrated in the chapel on Tuesday at 1 p.m. In memoriam, donations to the ICU of the Ottawa Civic Hospital are appreciated. Dear Cheryl,
Was so shocked to read of Ben's tragic accident - very sincere condolences to you, Lou and David.
We worked together at Public Archives in the late 70s - a long time ago but I've not forgotten you. I guess Ben would have been 2 or 3 years old then and how proud of him you were. I remember going to your house for some "real Italian" spaghetti.
I will contact you when some time has passed and you are over the shock yourself.

I remember Ben and my brother Joe "jamming" together many years ago. I recall a kind young man with a good sense of humour, but most of all, a passion for music. Whatever passions I had when I was young seem so far away now; I am glad Ben never lost sight of his passions, but I'm extremely saddened by his passing.
