Uncle Ben was one of the kindest most sincere persons i've ever had the pleasure of knowing. His sense of humour and honesty was always refreshing. His commitment to his family was inspring. He will be missed very much. My love and condolances to Aunt Gail and my cousins.

Alas, Ben I hardly knew ye. Yet, you were my brother. Unlike most brothers, because of my adoption we only knew each other for a little more than a year. However, I learned enough to develop immense respect for you as a model family man…a proud father and a loving husband. If that’s all one could say of a man, it would be more than enough. There was much more though, including a sense of humor and valor in the face of suffering. I am happy today that I was blessed with this time to know something of Ben Jewer, my brother. I regret not having had a lifetime.
