Ben Moody Sr. Obituary
Born with an innate passion for music, Ben's melodies and rhythms reflected the very essence of his vibrant, heartfelt, and unforgettable soul. Whether playing his piano, taking photos, or simply offering a listening ear, Ben had a remarkable way of drawing people in and making them feel comfortable.
Ben had a deep love for the outdoors, finding solace and inspiration in nature's beauty. From hiking rugged trails to camping under starlit skies, he cherished every moment spent in the fresh air, surrounded by the wonders of the natural world. His appreciation for nature was infectious, encouraging others to embrace the great outdoors with the same enthusiasm.
Ben is lovingly remembered by his four children: Brooke, Ben II, Summer, and Daniel (Becca), who carry forward his legacy of music and resilience. He is also survived by his brothers Keith (Susan), Scott (Amberle), and Marc; his beloved aunt Bobbie Camp; his former wife of 34 years, Melissa; and his seven grandchildren - Aiden, Mila, Johnny, Lochlan, Dextor, Rowan and one more Moody baby on the way!
Ben's presence was a beacon of light to those who knew him. His laughter, sense of humor, and generous heart will be dearly missed but fondly remembered.
A celebration of life will be held Monday February 17, 2025 from 4-7pm at 1023 W 7th St. Little Rock, AR 72201, where family and friends will gather to honor Ben's extraordinary life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gentiva Hospice.
Rest in peace, Ben. Your song lives on in the hearts of all who loved you.

I am so sorry to hear of Ben´s passing. I went to school with Ben from first grade through 12th grade and have always considered him a friend. We used to see each other quite a bit in the Heights Kroger and would visit while shopping. I am saddened that I could not make the memorial service as I am recovering from surgery. Peace be with you all. We will all miss him.

I will never forget Ben. He was a dear friend, like a fatherly/brother. He was kind and would help anyone he could. He was very talented and I´ll never forget him playing his guitar and singing to us girls and his family at Excel and Ben Moody Photography.
I always remember him setting up events for Excel for our shows. I remember he was funny too, but you could also have serious conversations with him. He would listen and give you advice if you wanted it. He loved the outdoors and camping. He got excited about his family camping trips with his friends. He was easy going and calm. It´s sad he is gone so soon. Praying for his children and Melissa. Love y´all!

Ben was always a sweetheart and I loved him and his brothers like brothers. Our community was so tight knit that we were all family. I know in my heart he is in a better place and now resting in peace. My heart and prayers go out to Marc, Keith and Scott and everyone that knew and loved him.

My very first job was assisting Ben on shoots when I was 14. Even then, we had a lot in common, from photography to our love of the outdoors. All these years later, I have owned my own photography business for almost 20 years so he definitely had an impact on my life in a tangible way. We kept up about hiking and photography from time to time and I remember him so very fondly. Grateful to have known him and for his early impact on my life!
