Ben Porterfield Jr., 81, of Connellsville passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022.
He was born Sept. 7, 1940, in Rogers Mills, Pa., a son of the late Ben and Leona (Ritenour) Porterfield.
Ben was a self-employed contractor. He enjoyed bowling and playing cards. He was a member of Faith Bible Church in Connellsville.
Ben is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Carol (Miller Reph) Porterfield, three sons, Matthew Alan Porterfield and wife Becky, David S. Reph and wife Cheryl and Daniel J. Reph and wife Heather, one daughter Terri Lynn Shaner, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, one sister Norma J. Maurer and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ben was predeceased by three brothers; James Arthur, George R., and Daniel F., seven sisters, Violet Rugg, Helen Marietta, Harriet Giles, Hilda Traynor, Madelyn Keffer, Ester Little, and Sarah Steindle.
Arrangements are under the direction of the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 S. 1st. St. West Side, Connellsville PA, 724- 628-9033.
Friends will be received Friday, Jan. 14, from 1-6 p.m., the hour of service with Pastor Barry Witt officiating, interment will be private.
