Benjamin "Benny" Abney
Warrenville - Mr. Benjamin "Benny" Abney of Warrenville, SC, loving husband for 58 precious years to Marvell Hutto Abney, was called home Sunday December 13th, 2020. A son of the late Wyman Abney and the late Evelyn Abney.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by Dawn and Kevin, his children whom he adored. His wife, Marvell and his children were his world, next to the Lord, and he was theirs. A true love store that will never end. Left to cherish his memory along with his wife are two children; Dawn (Bobby) Wixon, of Alabama; Kevin Abney of Alabama; sister, Doris (Calvin) Shealy of Graniteville; brother, Wayne "Pot" Abney of Warrenville; and four grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Richard Abney; two brothers, Donnie Abney, Elliot Abney; and a granddaughter, Miss. Codie Wheat.
He enjoyed going to church and loved gospel music. He was Pentecostal to the bone. He was retired from Owens Corning Trucking. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. He served in the United States National Guard. He was a very friendly person who never met a stranger. He was a loving husband, father and papa.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday December 17th, 2020 at 2pm in the chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Ritchie Enlow officiating. The interment will immediately follow at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Napier Funeral Home, Inc. 315 Main St. Graniteville, SC 29829, has been entrusted with these arrangements.

Benny was the sweetest brother-in-law I have ever known. I will miss him very much. My heartfelt sympathy for his wife Marvel, children, Dawn, and Kevin and family. Walk with Jesus.
