BENJAMIN COHEN

COHEN--Benjamin, passed away in his New York home on September 16th at the age of 93. Born in Chicago, he was a founding member of Habonim Labor Zionist Youth in 1935 and culminated his lifelong Zionist leadership as President of the American Zionist Federation. With his beloved late wife Harriet, they made aliyah in 1949. The family returned to the United States in 1960, where Ben became a successful construction executive, his proudest project Starrett City. Ben is survived by his three sons, David, Elon and Ami; his daughters-in-law Leah and Shanit; and his five grandchildren, Daniel, Joshua, Debbie, Coral and Mirell. Funeral services will be held at Riverside Memorial Chapel, New York, on Wednesday, September 19th, at 11:30am. In his honor, donations may be sent to the Habonim Dror Foundation.
