Born August 28, 1945 in Mason, passed away May 28, 2013, at the age of 67. A 1963 Graduate of Mason High School, Benny proudly served his country in Vietnam as a member of the Navy Seabees. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW in Mason, where he shared many good times and his "Premium" with friends. The self –employed owner of Benny's Tire Service, he was known simply as the Tire Man to many. Fighting to stay with us until the end, the only thing that can be concluded is that God must have had a flat tire. It didn't matter who you were, or what you needed, Benny was always there to help out, tires or otherwise. His second occupation and primary hobby was remodeling his home. Always a work in progress, Benny continually had his eye on how he could make it better, and was eager to share his latest plans. In 1971, he married Caren Rice and together they had four daughters, Bobbi (Brent) Richardson, Terri (Eric) Stelljes, Cammi (Dave) Morris and Penni (Wade) Elton, 9 grandchildren, Haleigh, Cameron, Preston, Andrew, Lance, Belle, Blair, Alexandra and Gage. Benny was preceded in death by his father, Cameron, and two brothers, Ronnie and Tim (Shirley). He is survived by his dear mother, Mary, and brothers Gordon, Pat (Karen), Mike (Rose), Dennis (Peggy) and his twin brother Kenny (Norma), as well as many nephews and nieces, including Kellie Knauff. Also surviving to share his memory is his "Rock", Roxie LaMacchia. The family will hold visitation on Sunday, June 2, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Ball Dunn Chapel, Mason.
