Benjamin Holt

My condolences to the Holt Family. Mr. Holt was one of the finest men Ive ever known. He was a great mentor to me in the days of BD Holt. He will surely be missed!

So sorry to hear about your loss. Mr. Holt was a fine person that treated his employees like extended family. He would walk through the shop daily and visit with everyone and knew every ones name even when they had someone else's name tag on. He will be missed.

Very sad to learn of BD's passing. I was privileged to have a number of conversations with him while in Louisiana. He was always insightful and charming with a great sense of humor. I was grateful for his advice and respectful of his heritage and accomplishments.

Mr Pete Holt and Peter Holt changed my life to one of possibility,courage and faith in mankind. I was blessed to have worked for the family in the Corpus Christi offices. I will never forget how people would come into the Holt offices looking for parts for their Caterpillar equipment and as they would sit down at the parts desk to order a part for their dozer - Pete Holt would look out over the Wall street Journal and call out " Hey 'Jimmy' hows that D-6 working out for you" and Jimmy or who ever the customer happen to be would smile big and turn around and say "just fine Mr Holt just fine". Mr Holt was always on the job and you knew you could depend on him for his business acumen, wisdom and generosity in his fair dealings with all.

Rest In Peace "Patron", From Louis Sanchez Sr. (the late). & family, Martha, Joe, and Louis Sanchez Jr. Dad really enjoyed working on your yard, on Ocean Drive, then dad worked his sons there too! The Holt family was so nice to us...I, Louis Jr. enjoyed working for you in the Corpus Holt shops! For a kid out of high school, I learned so much, in the engine shop, and don't regret a single day! Our prayers are with Peter, Anne, and Ben, and their families, as you go through this time, but God is awesome, and simply called this great man back to his side!

My dad , john petrus ,aka Big John (Petrus) from skidmore was Big Pete's #1 diesel road mechanic in Corpus Christi for about 40 years They are probably talking about old times now I am so sorry for your loss He will be greatly missed

My prayers and condolences to the BD Holt family. It was an honor being an employee of you company for twelve of my twenty two years with Holt Machinery Company and Holt Cat.

Mr. Holt was such a lovely man. Always had a smile when he greeted you. We will miss him at the ranch. Blessings to his family.

Blessings to the Holt family for such a strong tradition. I have long admired the strength passed on by BD Peter. Our prayers go up for the family, for peace and strength.
