Benjamin Michael Kable, "Ben" or "BK", age 22, died January 1, 2023, suddenly and tragically due to a hit-and-run accident. Ben was born March 10, 2000, at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan the son of Dr. Michael Kable and Stacey (nee: Doetsch) Kable. Ben was raised in Rochester Hills, Michigan, where he attended Hampton Elementary School, followed by Reuther Middle School, and then eventually graduated from Rochester High School with the class of 2018. Following high school, Ben went on to attend Michigan State University where he worked toward his electrical engineering degree. He nonetheless maintained an unbreakable bond with his circle of friends from Arcadia Park and Rochester High School. Ben's mother Stacey described her son as the typical boy growing up… however; when Ben found something that interested him he became passionate and pursued his interest to the fullest. Whether it was "frogging" for frogs and tadpoles at "Turtle Rock", aka Arcadia Park, or playing Army battles with all his little army soldiers, Ben went all in. As Ben grew older his interests changed to sports, including football in Middle School and High School, along with his passion for wrestling all throughout high school. The passion for wrestling even continued at home where he would throw his little sister Sarah "Chica" across the room every chance he could, or place any family member in a headlock. Additionally Ben followed in his father's footsteps with their mutual love of the outdoors. Ben loved to hunt, shoot guns, ice fish and fish for pike, bass, sunfish, and even pursued Great Lakes salmon and muskies on Lake St. Clair aboard his dad's boat. Ben cherished his time and trips to the family's northern Michigan cottage and Minnesota. The family traveled extensively together visiting many locations including Jamaica, Mexico, Florida, and many fishing trips to northern Michigan and Canada. Ben was a very intelligent young man who was fluent in German and a very skilled online gamer. His sister Sarah always knew when Ben was fully engaged online within a game, he could be heard screaming into his headset at the other online gamers. During his time in college Ben also found himself immersed in home forging or Blacksmithing. This new hobby created a lot of loud banging in the garage for his family to enjoy! Ben left an indelible mark upon everyone he met and will be forever missed. Benjamin Kable is survived by his beloved parents Michael and Stacey Kable, along with his dear siblings, Lindsey (Marko) Armour, Pat Kable, Matthew Kable, Emily Kable, and Sarah Kable. Further survivors include his grandparents, Sandra & Kenneth Wolfswinkel, Draxie & the late Dale Bolam, and the late Thomas Doetsch. Ben was the cherished nephew of his special aunt Jamie Doetsch, along with being survived by many other family members, friends, and the pups at home. A Memorial service for Ben will be held Friday, January 6th, 2023, at Kensington Church, 1825 East Square Lake Rd, Troy, Michigan. Ben's family will receive family, friends, and guests from 3:30pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 4:30pm. Memorial donations are appreciated in Ben's name to: RSC Administration, ATTN: Rochester Community Schools Foundation, 52585 Dequindre, Rochester MI 48307. Hello, this is Josh or known as MrJames to BK. I´m one of his online homies and he got me into playing a couple of great games. I will always remember his great laugh, jokes, and crude but loving way of making fun of me while still giving me the feeling like he´d be there for me no matter what. I am terribly troubled over the thought of losing our close friend and wish the best for your family. He will be missed and won´t be forgotten. Much love from his online half.

To Mike and Stacey, I simply cannot find the words that would explain the feelings I have right now for all of your family and your handsome son Ben. Your family always has a special place in my heart as I know you were very close to our family in years past. This morning as I was driving to work and I was deep in thought for you, I looked up and saw the absolute most beautiful full moon. As I drove it changed constantly, a thin layer of clouds was movingly quickly in front of it. There was a warm comfortable energy I felt each time I was able to gaze at it. I pray you can find comfort through this most unimaginably difficult time. You are being lifted up in prayer by myself and all of my prayer warrior friends here in Virginia. With my deepest sympathy and love, Shari and Andrew Turner

Although Ben´s time on earth wasn´t nearly long enough, the time he spent here was so well lived. Someone who was so loved and lived with such passion lived the perfect life. May the memories live on in all the hearts of the people who loved him so much, and that love which will never stop growing, bring peace to all through this very challenging time. God bless you all.

Sending my sincere condolences to Ben's loved ones. Ben was such a happy and kind student. He was certainly a Hampton Hornet we are so proud of. He brought smiles and laughter to the school each and every day. Sending so much love to all who knew and loved him as I know he will deeply missed.

Memories have a unique power. They're one of the only things that grow bigger as you love them more. Ben, you will be remembered for so many things and by so many people who were blessed to know you.
