Memories ... When I think of Ben I think of family, a strong family man who loved his family and would do anything for them. My connection with Ben and his family was through music. A gifted musical family and his wife Minda, maybe the best voice of all. I remember all the trips all over the city and out-skirts, driving the girls to singing competitions, working on the Annabelle's first CD and recording Annabelle's songs at a local studio. Life is always good and meaningful with music in the home. For home recordings, Ben was the energetic Engineer and Director, entertaining us with his technical skills. However there was one occasion after many takes, Annabelle's song was finally captured only to find that Ben had not pushed the on button and the song was never recorded. Ben was beside himself and wondered how such great equipment could mess things up. A few laughs at Ben's expense but ..." never a laugh" at Ben's enthusiasm and devotion to his family. God Bless :-)

We are saddened by the sudden loss of Ben. Sorry I couldn't pass my condolences after the prayer service but the large crowd was a reflection of how much Ben was loved. He was a great neighbour, an honest golfer and a gentle soul.
