Ben Savage Whitesburg, GA formerly of Delhi, LA Benjamin Fredrick Savage 74 of Whitesburg, GA formerly of Delhi, LA died on May 28, 2017. Ben was born on December 31, 1942 in Pioneer, LA and at the time of his death he was living in Whitesburg, GA with his spouse, daughter and family. He had been living there for the past 7 years due to illness. He was a retired farmer who enjoyed fishing and hunting. Ben was an Army Veteran serving as a Military Policeman. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 24 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Cox Funeral Home in Delhi. Family will receive friends for a time of remembrance on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 6-8 PM. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Lamar Church Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Homes. He is preceded in death by his parents George Washington Savage and Willie Hazel Copes Savage and a brother George Burnett Savage all from Delhi. Ben is survived by his wife Emma Dell Ponsell Savage of Whitesburg, GA formerly of Delhi; three daughters, Cheree McDuffie and husband Sparky of Monroe, LA, Toyyah Heller and husband Matthew of Whitesburg, GA and Tiffini Savage from Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren Preston Mallett, Brittney Mallett, Cody Heller and Benjimen Kaegan Heller and two great grandsons Vance Mallett and Gauge Mott.
