Benjamin "Kenny" Schwarzfeld

Benjamin "Kenny" Schwarzfeld, age 63, passed away at his residence in Fairview on Thursday, July 5, 2012. Born in Brooklyn, New York on March 28, 1949, he was a son of the late Nathan Schwarzfeld and Anna (Grossman) Schwarzfeld Rosner. Before his retirement in 2010, he was a lift station mechanic for the City of Erie for twenty six years. He was also the former owner of Elite Dry Cleaners. Kenny enjoyed photography, and was treasurer of the National Federation of the Blind, Erie County Chapter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda (Leone) Schwarzfeld, in 2010. Survivors include his wife, Connie (Scheu) Johnson Schwarzfeld; a daughter, Carrie (Schwarzfeld) Watkins, of Erie; a son, David Schwarzfeld, wife, Corinne, of Erie; three grandchildren, Nicholas Watkins, Ellie Lin Schwarzfeld and Nolan Nicholas Sullivan, all of Erie; a brother, Alan Schwarzfeld, wife, Rhonda, of Coral Springs, Fla.; a niece and nephew, Sari and Noah Schwarzfeld; step-children, Neil Johnson, wife, Leah, of Cornwall, N.Y., and Glen Johnson, wife, Tracy, of Pittsburgh; and step-grandchildren, Reid and Quinn Johnson. Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 W. 10th Street, Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. with Rabbi Lenard Lifshen officiating.
