Fr. Benjamin was my husband's uncle and we are so proud to be part of his great family. He was beloved not only in the Pittsburgh area, but here in Virginia Beach as well. It is so heartwarming to read all the wonderful stories and dedications to him. Our loss is truly Heaven's gain.

As a young priest at St. Mary's Church on the North Side, Father Ben married us 42 years ago. We will be married 43 years in July 2007. As a member of St. Mary's parish, I (Kitty) was fortunate enough to have Father Ben as a mentor and friend during my teen years. He kept the teen members of the CYO in line while helping us to make responsible and mature decisions under his guidance. He was truly devoted to God's service.

Heaven has welcomed and set a place for a new angel; our loss, but heaven's gain. I will miss seeing your smiling face, listening to your interesting homilies, and miss those quick chats when we met.

I asked for a sign from God on this October day. Amazingly Father Ben walked into the Opthamologist office , to be the next appointment after me. You talk about inspirational signs!!!
Father Ben rest in peace, you will be forever in our hearts.

The loss of Fr. Ben has been a devastating experience. He was so full of kindness, love, patience, understanding and gentleness. He was and continues to be so much loved. When I think of angels, I'll think of my beloved friend, Fr. Ben. I love you my dear friend, forever.

Fr. Ben will always have a warm spot in my heart. His kind eyes and gentle manner always made me feel calm. I am thankful that I had this wonderful role model in my life as a teacher at St. Peter's School/CWRS and as a young child growing up on the Northside. May the heavens rejoice as they welcome you into their kingdon.
