Benjamin WHITTAKER Obituary
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Benjamin James Gordon Whittaker. He lived his life by his own rules, and will have a lasting impact on everyone he met. A limitless desire to learn as much about the world we lived in, gave BJ the ability to always have points to add in any discussion. His infectious laugh and brutal honesty were unlike anyone ever seen in this world. He will be dearly missed by his amazing three kids, Nicholas, Carson, and Ariana; his loving parents, Debra and Lee; his sister, Katie (Tom); and brother, Michael (Caitlin). You broke the mold BJ, and we can't wait to hear how you would have made it better. A Celebration of Life will be held in BJ's honour at the Apple Creek Golf Course, 11064 Twp. Rd. 275, Airdrie, AB on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made in BJ's memory to the Airdrie Food Bank, 20 East Lake Way NE, Airdrie, AB, T4A 2J3 would be appreciated.

The legacy of a good man is what is seen in the lives of his children and his family. BJ was a wonderful father, a loving brother to Michael and Katie, and a caring son and grandson to his parents and grandmother. We miss you BJ, but your life lives on in the family you poured your love into.

I was grateful to get to know B.J, even if it was for a short time. He had a unique outlook on life and always brought life and insight to any discussion. He was accepting, thoughtful and definitely fun to be around. My heart goes out to his family and friends. He will be missed by many but never, ever forgotten.
