Ben, although we have never met in person, I considered you a friend and trusty colleague. Teaching French along with you in our online world has been wonderful. You have left a void in the world of world language education and you will be sorely missed. I always enjoyed your quick wit! Bon voyage,

Mr. Woodward was my son's teacher this past year for French and Track. They because very close on a spring break trip to France and enjoyed a really special bond. As we got to know Ben better, we were so impressed with his intelligence, enthusiasm and care for all the boys. The impact he made in one year at Gilman is incredible. He was extremely popular with the boys and had a great way of making learning fun and bringing out the best in them.

He will be greatly missed and we offer our most sincere condolences to his family. His time was short but his impact will last a lifetime for so many.

I hear Paris is lovely this time of year! Enjoy!
I'm sure that smile and all the joy it brought will be missed, though.

Thank you for being a wonderful and caring teacher. My son Luke was in French 1 at Stemmers Run Middle. He was very caring and helped him in learning the language. I greatly appreciated his love for teaching and his caring ways with the kids in his class. He was amazing. He will be missed! May he rest in the Lords presence and many condolences. I'm so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful and caring person.

Ben was my student in the methods course at Shippensburg University and I then supervised his student teaching. He was a wonderful student and really excelled in his student teaching. After graduation, he continued to contact the department sharing job announcements and sending regards to everyone.
Our condolences to his family. Il va vraiment nous manquer!

Mr. Woodward was my student teacher in my French I class at Bermudian Springs in 2013. He was such an enthusiastic teacher and made us laugh everyday. I am now going into my senior year of college, studying French. I will never forget his impact on my education and my life through his passion and infectious positive attitude.

Our deepest condolences to the Woodward family.

I only met young Mr. Woodward once at a parent-teacher meeting but he made quite an impression. During his service in the Marines, Ben was an interpreter at the gates of the US Embassy in Dijibouti. It was that intense experience that drove him to emphasize the need to fluently speak a foreign language well above the ability to read or write in it.

My son, Hersh, and his classmates could not have had a better teacher nor a better role model.

He will be sorely missed.
