Bennie Gupton Obituary
HENDERSON - Services for Bennie James "Joe" Gupton Jr., 64, of Henderson, will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at Laneville High School Gymnasium, 7415 FM 1798 West in Laneville, with Dr. VaLita Waits and the Rev. Jerry C. Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park in Henderson. Arrangements are by Garmon Funeral Home. Mr. Gupton died December 4, 2009.
Born August 16, 1945, in Fort Worth, he was a coach, teacher and assistant principal for many years and a member of Jenkins Memorial CME Church. Survivors include his wife, Earnestine Smiley Gupton; daughter, Delores Gupton; sons, Ray Dell and Conrad Eugene Gupton; mother, Ella Kelly Gupton; sister, Geraldine Brager; and brothers, LaSalle and Broderick Gupton. Public viewing will be 1-8 p.m. today, December 7, 2009, at the funeral home.
