Bernadette Bell age 95 years, a resident of Pinewood Court, Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, on Monday, October 18, 2004. Born in North Bay, Bernadette was raised and educated in the Kaministiquia area. She met and married Fred Bell on January 5, 1931. They moved to Sioux Lookout, then to Armstrong, returning to Thunder Bay in 1970. Bernadette was a longtime member of St. Agnes Church. Bernadette is survived by her daughters Arleigh (Gerald) Dougherty of Thunder Bay, Ellen (Jack) Bell of Kelowna, Aldene (George) Belden of Boston, Kentucky and Linda (William) Gunter of Salida , Colorado, sons James (Joan) of Prince George and David (Sheila) of South Port, England, 25 grandchldren, 35 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Anne and Martin Doyle, husband Fred, daughter Janice Hunter, sisters Theresa Cook and Ursula Bigalow, brothers Jay, Pat, Michael, Louis, Jim and Laurie. As per Bernadette's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date. If friends desire, memorials to the Champs or Camp Quality would be appreciated.A tree will be planted in memory of Bernadette Bell in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.
