We are sorry to hear about Bernie's passing. She was a great friend and companion to my father for many years. While sad we are also happy for Bernie that she has been set free from the nursing home.

All my love and condolences to you in your time of mourning. The loss of a loved one can never be healed, or forgotten, more survived. I know that nothing anyone can type here, or say in person will ever do anything to ease your pain, but hopefully knowing that people are out there thinking of you in this time will do at least a small part to ease the burden on your hearts at this time. We were shocked and saddened to hear of Bernie's passing. She certainly was a treasure in our family, most notably to my father and myself, and will be greatly missed. I will especially miss our 3-hour "gab fests" we would have at BHC, usually about cooking, current events and swapping "Chick" stories. Our deepest heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family members.
