Bernard Collins

Very sad to hear of Bernie's passing. I will not forget how nice he was to me when I was attending the University of Ottawa and he was an MP. Sincere condolences to Sean and the rest of the family...

I remember Bernie from his Kamsack days, not as a teacher but as a fellow member of the Kamsack Flyers hockey team. I was still a H.S. student in a neighboring town but recall him with good memories. One of the first guys I played with who wore a helmet! I graduated H.S. in 1962 and that summer worked at the Regina Airport on a construction crew. One of my co-workers was Bernie's brother Marty. Rest in peace Bernie, following a life well lived.

A massive hole has been left on this planet that no one can ever fill. I am sorry to hear the news of Bernie's passing. I remember him playing with Duncan, Scott, and myself as a bridge team from time to time and the many times he played in the various bridge tournaments over the years. He was always a funny guy and great to be around.

We very much appreciated Bernie's friendship.

Bernie was a friend while I was growing up in the Cathedral area and he was my mentor. He was very kind and we enjoyed going to basketball games. My sincere condolences to the Collins family.

My condolences to the Collins family. Mr. Collins, as I knew him, was one of my teachers from grade 10 to 12 at the Kamsack high school. He was a great teacher and a very supportive person. Rest in peace.

Bernie and I were at Campion college together and I remember him as someone who was always upbeat , friendly and fun to be around. He was also an excellent basketball player...a good team player. I understand he was a terrific teacher. He had integrity and lived and taught with strong principles. A terrific guy really. Beattie Martin.
