Bernard Glazer Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 21 to Jan. 23, 2008.
Bernard Glazer of “Glazer Brothers” business family of Anderson passed away Jan. 22, 2008, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

“Glazer Brothers” has been an active business family in Anderson for the past 100 years, contributing to the city of Anderson and various charities. As a member of the business community, an avid traveler (throw in a lot of good shopping), and a dog lover of large proportions, he will be sorely missed by family, friends and the Welsh Corgi community (in particular, Toby Glazer). Toby and Bernie could be seen frequently perusing around Anderson together.

The following are the loving survivors of his family, wife, Jean Glazer; sons, Gary and Danny; daughters-in-law, Leslie and Gayle; grandchildren, Lacey, Kelsey and Joel Glazer; and stepgrandsons, Sean and Jason Belnick.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation.

Danny,

I am very sorry for your loss. Give my love to your mom & family. It is so hard to loose a parent, but know your dad is in a better place.

Bernie and I have been friends since 1989. We spoke just last month on the phone about his children, Jean, and IU basketball. I will always treasure his friendship and wish the very best for Jean and the family.
