Bernie, my memory of you takes me back to your childhood days.
A time when your parents would stop in Mt. Pleasant, to visit us, either on the
way to Florida, or during their return home. I remembered how excited
you were about having the opportunity to play in our yard, which was
mainly dirt. You had grown into a responsible adult and a dedicated father,
two of he main ingredients for the making of a great person.
You may have been in the spring of your life as it relates to time, but
we all know that GOD is still in charge. We are not always measured by the
length of our stay, but mostly for the contributions we made along the way.
To the family, stay strong, a new day will come and with it there will be a
new understanding and a new appreciation, and a new joy.

You were always such a good friend to all, with a HUGE heart and would find any possible way to make someone laugh. Thank you for being a positive impact on so many lives. May god bless your family and help them get through this tragic time.
