I will always remember the vacations to Etna, King George, and the reunions with all of the VanDeWeerts. Your Mom and Dad were special people to me. They raised a beautiful family.

Every once in a while you're lucky enough to meet someone so kind, that person leaves a gentle, yet profound footprint on your heart. I was blessed to meet two -- Bern and Pat Vandeweert. They made this world a better place and left a beautiful legacy with their children and grandchildren. I'm forever grateful to have known them. Sending my love and prayers to the entire family. May treasured memories of happier moments carry you through the hard days ahead. Rest in peace, Bern. I'll miss our conversations about Dundee.

We have always liked Bernie. He and your mother made many friends during their years in Towanda. Our thoughts are with the entire family.

Remembering Bern's life from our friendship in the early days in school in Midland Park, graduating from 9th grade together. We remained friends through marriage and children, vacationing at each other's houses. I remember we took a ride one time with 13 in one car in Berns big station wagon!
