Bernard Hale Weeks

Many good memories of Mr. Weeks. A very special man. His daughter, Janice and I were good friends. I have many wonderful memories of spending time in their home, and at church.

A few of us who taught with Bernie still get together for breakfast. When we do Bernie is remembered fondly by all.

Gone but not forgotten. Lots and lots of good memories to look back on.

Bernie and I met in 1960 with the opening of Marina Del Rey Junior High School and were friends for the next 55 years. He was truly one of the "good guys" and will be missed by all who knew him. R.I.P. Dear friend.

We were very fortunate that our families were friends for many years. I had many wonderful sleep overs at their house with Janice. Great memories of a great man.

His wife Elena was my brothers head start teacher in Venice @1970 and I took an Audio Visual class at Mdr JHS, he was the instructor, A nice fair,man. May he R.I.P

I had Mr. Weeks at MDR, JHS. I thought about him throughout the years and looking back was grateful for the structure and style. He raised the bar for kids and held high expectations for his students. RIP, sir.

RIP Mr. Weeks. Thank you for guidance and wisdom throughout mine and others formative years. I didn't recognize at the time what that would mean later in life.

We all put in our little grain of sand in to the lives of those we touch. Mr. Weeks added a beach to student-kind. RIP, Mr. Weeks and thank you for sharing of yourself.

On behalf of my two brothers, I would like to express our condolence to the family of Mr. Weeks. Our thoughts ad prayers go out to you. He was a good teacher, who treated students fairly and kindly.

We have been blessed to know Mr. Weeks and his entire family for many years. He was a wonderful friend and neighbor.

May God give you peace and comfort during you time of loss.

What a dear sweet man. He was my teacher in Metal Shop at MDRJHS in 1963...Mr Weeks and my father Reuben Race worked together for many years in the La Ballona Parade in Culver City, Ca. I will certainly miss this man, you were always kind to me.

My condolence to the family. I'm a former student from Marina Del Rey and had to pay my respects to such a kind teacher.

I truly admired the way Jack cared for Ellena in her illnesses and loved the way we twinkled with his animated smile when he spoke.

So sorry to hear of Bernie's death. I remember he and his family as being such free spirits. He truly is now.
