Destiny Gibson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 18, 2011.
Our Little Cuddlebug
After a lifelong battle with Neurofibromatosis Destiny was taken home on September 15, 2011. Destiny loved the Lord and is now dancing with angels in heaven. She will be missed desperately by her family and friends who remain.
She was born a Valentine's Day baby on February 14, 1986 in Salt Lake City to Bonnie Kay and Darren Michael Solock. Understanding the pain of her disease, her heart's desire was to be an advocate for others with Neurofibromatosis so that she may ease their suffering. Destiny was a compassionate and loving person with a fearless heart of gold. She loved animals, the color pink and she loved to cuddle.
Destiny grew up best friends with her mother who preceded her death due to the same disease that plagued Destiny; she is also met in heaven by her father (who passed away in April of this year); and her Grandpa Gibson.
She leaves behind her grandfather David (Doris) Solock; grandmother Jolene Walker; grandmother Jeanette Gibson; uncle Rocky Noland; aunt Jenean Thom; BFF Kim; and many many other family and friends who adore her.
In honor of Destiny, PLEASE WEAR PINK and join her family as we Celebrate her Life on Monday, September 19th at 12:00 p.m. at the Salt Lake Christian Center, 4300 South 700 East, Salt Lake City.
Arrangements entrusted to Starks Funeral Parlor. Online condolences may be offered at www.starksfuneral.com

Destiny, compassionate Destiny... you will be missed and I am so very happy that you are with your parents and I am sure your mom and dad were guiding you to them. Andy and I loved you and wish we could have been there more for you, but you were surrounded by very loving people and we were blessed to be a very small part of your life. Watch out for me, now, little one.

Destiny you were a very sweet girl. I babysat you for several years while you attended Woodrow Wilson. I never had any problems with you, you were always willing to do whatever you could. Your mom was a very special person as well, loved you very much and was very proud of you. Give your mom and dad big hugs when you see them, I know they are waiting with open arms.

To the family & friends of Destiny Marie Gibson I was a very good friend of Destiny's Mother Bonnie she and I met at the age of 6 and were best friends to her end. This is of great loss for the world to have lost this precious life due to such an aggressive disease. I was with Bonnie when she gave birth to Destiny along with grandpa and grandma Gibson Destiny and my children were of the same age we had our children almost the same time and they played often together. Destiny I love you, your mom and dad you will be in alot of people's thought and in memories. You are a very special girl I love you and one day will see you again!
