Bernice “Bernie” Ledbetter Savage

I miss my aunt. I didn't get to see them often when I was growing up. But I sure did get to hear all the stories. Like how when mom was little she got sick, mom says it was when polio first started it's rounds, but she would not go to the doctors until Aunt Bernice was home. They had to go fetch Aunt Bernice from church just so mom would go see a doctor. "Peace be unto you", Bob. Bernie was always an example of what it was like to live a life for Christ. Like the woman from Proverbs 31, she loved to teach and hosted the GA's which influenced my girls to serve Jesus. She was a great homemaker, church worker, prayer warrior, and most of all a good friend. She will always live in our hearts as a "good and faithful servant".

Bernie was one of the sweetest and most godly women that we have had the pleasure of knowing for many years. She truly had a kind and gentle spirit. Most everyone knew her as a prayer warrior because of her love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a great listener and friend. We pray that God will sing over your family with His comfort, love and peace. Mrs. Bernie Savage will be greatly missed!

Carl & I extend our heartfelt condolences to all of you. I grew up knowing Bernie as one of the "cool" moms in town. She has always been one of the sweetest souls I ever had the privilege of knowing.
