BILOXI — The Father of Riverboat gambling has died.
Isle of Capri Casinos founder Bernie Goldstein, the first casino operator in Biloxi and the South, died yesterday.
He opened Isle of Capri Casino in Biloxi, on Aug. 1, 1992. As CEO, he grew Isle of Capri into one of the top casino companies in world, operating regional casinos in Mississippi, Louisiana, Missouri, Iowa, Colorado and Florida. He retired as CEO in 2008 but continued to be active in the company as chairman of the board.
Services will be held in Illinois on Tuesday.

Mrs. Renee', My deepest sympathy in these times. GOD BLESS, such a wonderful man, with such a wonderful woman behind him.Ya'll were so good to us in Biloxi.
