Bernt William (Bill) Gilbertson, 90, of Spring Arbor, went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully on the night of September 23rd, 2025. Bill was born on September 11, 1935 to parents Bernt and Rose Gilbertson of St Joseph Island, Ontario. Brother of the Late Ena Gallogly (late James, late Larry Knowels), Donald (Ruth), Sandra Wilson (Kent), Richard (Lisa), and Gregory (Henriette). Kids Steen (Sharon) and Stacy Gilbertson. Grandchildren Tj, Hunter (Kelly), Breanna Gilbertson, Raquel (Max) Snyder, and Brooke Klingaman. Great grandchildren Cameron Snyder, Van Klingaman, and Bernt Gilbertson. Married to wife Dawn C Gilbertson. He is preceded into heaven by his wife Lorna Lou Gilbertson. Bill had a love for anything mechanical or fast. From his time at the gas station, Bill's Gulf Service and his time at Onondaga Dragway, he filled the role of mentor, and sometimes dad, to many people. He was never afraid to share his faith in Jesus. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at The Arbor Church in Spring Arbor, Saturday, September 27th from 4 pm to 6 pm. All are welcome at the service. We would like to thank Gentiva Hospice for being there for us in our time of need, we greatly appreciate it.

It was always a pleasure to share time and stories with Bill. His faith was his guiding light. His fascination with all things on wheels was only exceeded by his skill and ability to make them better and faster. He had the knack of making any situation he found himself in much better. His devotion and love of his family never wavered. We pray that in this time of his loss they can look back on his life with great pride and wonderful memories. It is so comforting to know that he now is in the arms of the angels commanded by his Lord and Savior.
