SHUERT, Bert John – Of Grand Blanc, age 86, died peacefully Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Bella Vita Senior Living in Grand Blanc.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Inurnment at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
Bert was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 17, 1933, to John and Helen (Nakkula) Shuert.
On April 18, 1953 he married Eileen Scott and they had been married 67 years.
He loved golf, had 2 Hole-in-ones; loved going out to eat with his family and friends. He loved traveling the world.
Most of all he loved his family dearly. He had a great sense of humor! He was a kind generous man, with a huge heart and a big smile.
Bert worked for Jervis B. Webb Company for 43 years, and retired as Regional Sales Manager in 1996.
Surviving are 4 children, Cheri (Steven) Tomasky, Lori Topping, Michael Shuert and Mark Shuert;
grandchildren, Michael Norton, Michelle (Brad) Stedry, Breanna (Drew) Street, Matthew Shuert, Adam Topping, Laura Lomeli and Troy Tomasky;
5 great-grandchildren;
2 sisters, Patricia Shuert Meier and Carol Shuert Lipsit;
caregiver, Mary Beth Norton, that always brightened his day.
He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Susan Shuert, on September 2, 2013 and his identical twin brother, William Shuert, on September 23, 1976.
