STEINER, Berta
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great- grandmother on March 9, 2015 at the age of 93. Berta was born in Germany and arrived in Vancouver in 1957. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1982 and partner Alois Deisl in 1999, who gave her lasting happiness. Berta is survived by daughters Sieglinde (Wolfgang), Marie (Jon) and Doris (Trevor) and son John (Virginia); grandchildren Andrea (Chris), Michael (Renee), Matthew (Vianne), Nina (Scott), Simon (Stephanie), Bryson and Sarah and great-grandchildren Mikaela, Madelyn, Markus, Aidan, Gavin and Owen; extended families and close friends. She also leaves behind five brothers in Germany, Walter, Erich, Adolf, Emil and Fritz along with their families. Berta will be dearly missed. Her strength, love and kindness will be in our hearts forever. A Celebration of Life will be held at Shaughnessy GCC, 4300 SW Marine Drive, Vancouver on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.

May your family be at peace with the passing of your wonderful mother. She set such an excellent example,and always showed such deep character in the way that she handled the adversities that life handed her. I will remember her always with love and affection and of course for her wonderful "plum kuchen".
