Bertha Marie ADAMS

ADAMS, Bertha Marie 79, her Heavenly Father called her home June 12, 2013 surrounded by her loved ones. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice and Lawrence "Pit" Brown; three brothers, Raymond, Elmer, and Lawrence Brown; her husbands, Otis "Mac" Barnes and Gene "Eddie" Adams; son, Lawrence Barnes; grandchildren, Tamara and Lawrence Barnes. She leaves behind daughters, Beatrice Carpenter (Barnes) and Jean Adams; son, Edward Adams; 12 grandchildren; great-grand-children; and a great-great-granddaughter; many nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, and special friends. Anyone who had the opportunity to spend time with this loveliest of God's creatures knows a calmness and joy could be felt in her presence. She was truly a gift from GOD. After God, Bertha's family always came first. She lived for her children and continued to pray for them and her grandchildren through her last days on earth. Bertha is now absent of the body and present with the Lord. She will be sorely missed but would not want all to hang their head and cry. Let not your heart be troubled as Bertha is now with her heavenly Father and her spirit, so strong, will forever live on. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
