News Death Notice
TILLMAN, Mrs. Bertha Mae age 90, a native of Dayton, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, went home to be with the LORD May 18, 2012. She retired as a secretary to the Chief Scientist at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and received a Sustained Superior Performance rating. She leaves to mourn her loving and devoted husband, Donald H. Tillman; daughters, Louise B. Yeldell & Marcella A. Rowe; stepdaughter, Rita J. Tillman; stepsons, Donald E., Dwight and Ross B. Tillman; sister, Martha Byrd; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be held 1 pm Friday, May 25, 2012 at the HOUSE OF WHEAT Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Visitation 10 am Friday at the funeral home until the time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Final disposition cremation. Online condolences may be expressed at [email protected]

Mrs. Tillman was a wonderful neighbor for 40+ years. I have vivid memories of seeing her working in the garden/yard whenever I would come home to see my family. Rest in peace. I know you're are helping God make heaven look even more beautiful. We will keep the family in our prayers. -The Triplett Family

My prayers are with you and your family during this most difficult time. I am a friend of Rhonda Daviston and she informed me of Aunt Bertha's passing this past Sunday. I was lucky to meet Aunt Bertha many years ago when she came to Hbg, PA to help Rhonda after Sydney's birth. She was a joy to be around during those weeks she visited.
