We will miss Bert's playful joy, and his joyful playing!

We were fortunate to have the opportunity to play music with Bert. We will remember his banjo picking and deep love of bluegrass, and indeed, his love of music in general.

In light of the families request, instead of flowers we've made a group donation to PanCan.org in Bert's honor.

I was sad to hear about Dr. Weesner. I just wanted everyone to know what a great instructor he was at U.T. Dental School. He was funny and cared about the the young dental students, not like most of the instructors. I know, I was there from 1976 to 1979. I wish U.T. had more instructors like Dr. Weesner. I know you are in a better place , no pain or suffering, just happiness. I will miss you.

Dear Gail, Jeff, and Brent,

Words cannot even begin to express the sorrow we feel not only for your family, but for all of us who loved Bert. Our hearts are hurting too. We were privileged and blessed to have had you as our neighbors for 30 years. Mimosa Drive has not been the same since you left. Please know that you are in our constant thoughts and prayers at this time.

We only knew Bert through his postings to the ACOR pancreas list, but his advice and postings were so valuable and friendly, that we felt that we had known him all of our lives. We will miss his quiet humor and support for all who suffer from pancreatic cancer.
