Beth Elaine was born on October 3rd 1966. She was said to have been a very brave, confident, spunky and sociable little girl. She recalled her parents with love and had many sweet stories of her childhood, growing up in Smith Center, Kansas. She took me back there several times during my childhood to share her experiences and stories. Beth grew up to become a nurse, not just any nurse, but a wonderful, kind and attentive nurse. Her job and helping people, strangers or friends was her passion and she did it well. I remember going to work with her when she was a home health aide and I would just watch her in awe, the way she soothed their worries with ease, all the while tenderly caring for them. She was a wonderful mother to me. She always said and showed she loved me to the moon and back. Her favorite song to sing to me was "You are my sunshine". She loved to be involved in school activities and I remember her cheering from the stands at every event I participated in. She loved her whole family with her whole heart, even when she struggled with her mental state in the end, if I was ever sick or hurt she snapped right into action and pushed everything else aside somehow to be present for me. She will be dearly missed. I doubt anyone will read this but I was recently curious and was shocked to find the lack of obituary for my dear mom, so I decided to do my best to write one, because that woman deserved way better than she ever got in death.
I love you Mommy, from your sunshine
