Sad to hear of this, the passing of this lovely Sister, She was all smiles and happy, every time you saw her, and so full of love . She always had a kiss on the cheek for me and When visiting Happy Creek I will surly miss those smiles and kisses. May God be with all her family, friends, and Brothers and Sisters in the church.

My Aunt Bettie was a remarkable woman as many of these entries demonstrate. Next to my own mother, Laura Mae Williamson, she had the most profound effect on who I became. She taught me generosity, empathy, gratitude and kindness by modeling it for me in everything she did. As a young girl, I took it in and as a woman, I remember. She was also incredibly funny- always quick to laugh, to tease and to make fun of herself. She understood that humor often bridged sadness, regret and hopelessness. Those qualities are part of her legacy- her children are the same way and all of us are better for knowing her. I take comfort in knowing she is with those she loved that passed before her-she has probably given all of them her famous bear hug by now. Please keep her memory alive by being good to those around you. I will forever love her and am thankful to God that he lent us such an incredible human being.

Bettie was a gem indeed! Her faith in God ever faltered, the love for family and friends never wavered, and her warm personality and smile could light up a room. I smile when remembering some of what I call "Betty-isms," like "Yes, Darlin," "Ahhhhhhh," "If God's willing,..." or "God Bess him/her," and others--all endearing moments for sure. Betty's was a lfe well lived, and now may she rest in peace forever more. Thoughts and prayers continue for her family as they move forward with their own lives..
