LaBolt - Betty Anderson, age 74, of LaBolt, SD, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Memorial services will be held on March 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Countryside Covenant Church in rural Milbank, SD. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Betty Ann (Threadgold) Anderson was born on Dec. 19, 1950, to Robert and Doris (Mullin) Threadgold. She graduated from Howard High School in 1968. She attended college at South Dakota State University. It was during her college years that she met Dale Anderson. On September 15, 1973, they were united in marriage. Together, they were blessed with four children. Betty taught school in Watertown, Summit, then over 30 years at Grant-Deuel School. She was a member of Countryside Covenant Church. Betty spent countless hours driving her children and grandchildren to and from Lake Beauty each summer. Her passions included pheasant hunting, baking, watching game shows, and playing cards. She rarely missed a sporting event for her children and grandchildren. She spent summers at the LaBolt dam enjoying family and nature. She would babysit her grandchildren whenever possible and would regularly check in on them. Betty is survived by daughters: Heidi (Dan) Beach; Hannah (Branden) Stewart; and Hayley (Nathan) Harrington; son, Josh Anderson; seven grandchildren and two more due in September 2025; great-grandchild Anderson due in November 2025; 2 sisters; 3 sisters-in-law; 1 brother-in-law; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; her parents; 4 brothers; parents-in-law; and one brother-in-law.
