My daughter Ty and I had the pleasure of living next door to Mrs. Burger and we are grateful that she was a part of our everyday lives... she touched our hearts and we will never forget her. We miss her dearly and truly love her. Our prayer's will continue to be with the the Burger family. God Bless.

I was ten years old when I first met Betty in 1975 when she started working for my Dad. I can't remember a single time that I visited my Dad's office that she wasn't at her desk, usually on her phone, but always working hard for someone who needed her help. I will truly miss the visits we had. I will always cherish the advice and support she gave to me throughout my life.

I probably met Betty when i was all of 7 years old. She was someone who was always there for our family and so many people. She was a part of our extended family and will be missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I too had the privilege of knowing and working with Betty on various immigration cases. Betty was a very dedicated, friendly and conscientious employee who served the American public in an outstanding manner. I hope the family is able to take some comfort in knowing that Betty was so well admired and appreciated.

Betty was always there, sitting at her desk helping people and being a good friend. She started the first day in 1975 that Chuck Grassley began as a freshman Congressman and was still working in his Senate office until her end. She embodied stability and consistencey and always practiced good common sense. Betty was dedicated to her family and loyal to her many friends. This former Grassley staff member deeply misses her. She was a true Iowan, doing a good Iowa job for Iowans in our Nation's Capital.

I remember Betty, as many of us do, from my days working for Senator Grassley. She was always a kind and gracious person, and a great servant to the senator. She (and her typewriter) will be greatly missed.

My most heartfelt condolences to Betty's family. As a former Grassley caseworker, I learned so much from Betty and admired her greatly. Thank you for lending your mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother to us...she will be greatly missed.

Every time I was stuck on a case for a constituent, I could call and Betty was always there to help me out. She left me a great legacy to live up to.

Betty would never tell us how old she was...that was her secret. I enjoyed her sense of humor and her willingness to share a part of her personal life. We would share frustrations with difficult constituents and end up laughing to release the tension of a call. She will be missed! I'm inspired by her determination to make a difference in this life. Her age was her secret but God numbered her years well and blessed her with health to allow her to serve.

I remember when I first started working for Senator Grassley, you were always there to greet me with a warm smile. You helped me understand that I was part of something greater. You accepted me right from the start and I will miss you.
