Betty Diehl Obituary
She was born April 12, 1943 in McGaheysville, VA to Hensell and Marie (Dean) Burner. She graduated from Montevideo High school, Catawba College and Madison College. She was a middle school teacher for 30 years. Betty enjoyed sewing, music, plays, travelling, spending time with family and friends. She was a devoted church member at St. James Lutheran Church.
Surviving family include, her daughter, Alicia Rambo (Chad); her sisters, Barbara Greene, Ann Trobaugh (Greg); beloved step children; several step-grandchildren; many cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Carlos Victor Diehl, Jr., Eddie Albrite, and Henry Turner; brother-in law, David Greene and a brother, J. B. Burner.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Gentiva Hospice and Bellaire.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg with visitation to follow.

My first memory of her was seeing her sitting at the piano playing the most beautiful piano music I had ever heard. I immediately started pestering my folks for a piano and lessons. The highlight of every visit to Betty's family home was a short piano concert and my Dad and I enjoyed those visits so much.
