Dear Betty.... Gone but never forgotten and what would I have done without you? You were my personal computer of fashion back in the 80´s . You are a true legend now and forever.

Betty was recommended to me by a friend. She always had a room full of suggestions for me that fit and looked great on my body. She was honest and would say right away, "take it off. it's awful." or she'd say, "Not bad!" She wasted no time and was right to the point. As recently as 6 months ago she found a great blouse and raincoat for me. Whenever I wore something she had found for me, I always got compliments. She was blunt, honest, and no-nonsense. She was a joy to be with...telling me to just drop in to talk...not necessarily to buy something. How she loved the view out her window. I will miss her, and not just for clothes, but because of her compassion and understanding. I send condolences to her daughter and son.

A stylist like no other. Her eye for fashion and style was amazing. She added touches that made things all the more beautiful. Her career at Bergdorf´s added to the notoriety of such a legendary store. Sincerest condolences to the Halbreich family, so very sorry for your loss. May God give strength and comfort to you all to help you through your time of loss.

I read I'll Drink to That years ago not even knowing who she was. I was in my 50s nursing and I always dreamt of returning to the Fashion Industry on retirement but thought nah,too old. Her book inspired me to do it...at 63 I'm designing and sewing again. I shall miss her IG words of wisdom but look forward to her book next spring.
She's got a lot of great clients up there Love and thanks Betty
