Betty Lou Haynes (née Wheeler), born on July 22, 1933, in Washington, D.C., passed away peacefully on July 28, 2004, in Espanola, New Mexico, at the age of 71. Despite facing numerous illnesses throughout her adult life, Betty maintained a joyful spirit and a deep dedication to her family. She found joy in playing video poker at her favorite casino and cherished the opportunity to travel both locally and abroad with her beloved husband, Jim.

Betty is survived by her husband, James; her daughter, Joyce Lynn; her son, James Weston; her daughter-in-law, Sue; her grandchildren, Carey Anne, Patrick, Robert, and Kerri; and her eight great-grandchildren, Kiersten, Kendra, Chance, Blake, Lexi, Lynsie, Maddie and Morgan. Her life was a testament to the strength and resilience of a loving spirit, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
