Bettye Eichelberger

Wow is all I could say. Mrs. Eichelberger was one of my favorite teachers. She touched my life so much. Even taking us to school on Saturday. She is the reason why I want to teach today. She took such good care of me while at Lew Wallace. She will truely be missed.

Mrs. Eich was such a. Pleasure she always smiled which made school much easier. When I would walk down the hall and pass her by she always smiled and spoke a good spirited person..... She will be missed

She was a pleasure to meet and a joy to speak to whenever I stopped by the school. She was an inspiration to all of the students that she came in contact with. She was one that they looked up to,admired,and could go to for advice and encouragement. She was also one that the students enjoyed being around becasue she could relate to them and have fun with them. She taught her students how to succeed in life and not give up. She inspired me as a student and I still remember the lessons of life she taught me at 17 years old. After I graduated hs, she encouraged me to get my real estate license as she said she saw something in me to being a great Realtor. I didn't listen then, but 15 years later I did, and she was right. I made top producer in my real estate office this past year. Thanks again Miss Eich! Love you always! The school community has lost a valuable servant-educator who will be missed by many!

Mrs. Eichalberger was my favorite teacher! I thought about her as well as searching facebook. She was a loving, warm hearted individual. My prayers are with her family. I was a student of hers in 1980 and 1981.

Just as a delicate flower brings beauty to a garden, Bettye added a special joy to the lives of Lew Wallace High School students. Mrs. Eichelberger was a wonderful woman and I can still her her voice in typing class explaining to me the importance of not looking at the keyboard while I type. She was an influential person in my life and pushed me to believe in myself and hold my head up. Her spirit will last forever. Bria I am sorry for the loss of your mother!

I just happened to glance at the obituaries and was shocked to learn of Mrs. Eichelberger's passing. I was also a student of hers & have nothing but positive memories of her. I can remember seeing her out at different places years after graduation & she still remembered me & my Mom ... and she always took time to hold a conversation. She was a great woman who impacted many lives & I'm sure she will be missed by all she came in contact with.
